Provocative slogans by BJP activists outside the residences of Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti

Despite heavy security cover with the BJP rally, many of the BJP activists including Sofi Yousuf and Altaf Thakur came out of the vehicles and started raising slogans against the People’s Alliance describing them as traitors.
Carrying tricolors, these activists started heavy sloganeering outside the house of Mehbooba Mufti and they were allowed for a while to do this and finally police intervened and closed the gates of Mehbooba Mufti’s residence asking the BJP activists to move on.
In the recent past there have been two attempts by the right wing political activists in Jammu to hoist tricolor on the office of PDP. Recently political alliances have decided to keep erstwhile J&K State flag as their symbol till they get back the special status along with the JK flag.
The controversy was triggered by the remarks of Mehbooba Mufti when she said in her first press conference that she will not touch the tricolor unless she gets back the JK flag and said that their relationship with the union of India is only by the state flag and article 370.
