AS the annual examinations are coming near, parents of different private schools have alleged that the management of different schools have started asking for full tuition fee and are ignoring the recent instructions by the government to give a 30% rebate.

While in the prominent private school online classes were held regularly, now the middle rung private schools have started sending messages in the month of October asking the parents to keep their wards ready for the classes while as they did not conduct any such classes in the past 8 months.

One such school is the Girls wing of Woodland School at Shivpora as they have sent a message to the parent on October,19- 2020 which reads “Dear parents it is to inform you that all the student who have not registered their zoom application ID with their names are directed to put their full name along with class and section so that your concern teacher will allow you to enter in the live online class. If filed students will be marked absent.” Such messages to the parents are baffling as in the past 8 months, no online classes were held for their wards.

Similarly, in many such middle rung private schools, the parents have alleged that the management at the schools is asking for full tuition fee and are trying to withhold roll no. slips etc. so that they deposit the full fee before the annual examination. These parents have Appealed LG Manoj Sinha, Director of Education Kashmir, and other officers to monitor these schools and save the parents from their bullying and coercive tactics so that in this financial crunch they are not fleeced.
