Protests in Kangan after army vehicle injures elderly person

Ganderbal: Strong protest were held in Ganiwan Gund area of Kangan, District Ganderbal on Wednesday after an elderly person was hit by an army vehicle and was taken to hospital in a injured condition. The protectors were demanding arrest of the driver who was driving the army vehicle and was the part of an army convoy which was moving on the highway.

According to the family members and locals an elderly person of Ganiwan Gund identified an Mohammad Maqbool was seriously injured and was taken by the local to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Due to the protests the traffic was disrupted at the highway and more and more youth were joining the protest till the report was being filed.
Police officers of the area have reached to the spot and were assessing the situation.
