Farooq Abdullah recently took the media by storm when he said that people of Kashmir would prefer to remain with China rather than with the government of India.
Farooq Abdullah remained vocal at New Delhi during the monsoon session of parliament and accused the central government of betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He claimed that people of Kashmir have lost all hope from the government of India and they will come on the streets when the additional troops would be removed from the lanes and bylanes of the valley.
The National Conference, PDP, JK Congress and PC in the recent past have decided to bury their differences and have decided to stand by the Gupkar declaration signed by all the mainstream political parties of Kashmir minus BJP.
The Gupkar declaration has been the bedrock of mainstream politics in Kashmir now as all of them know that it can remain relevant only as long as they will stand with the people of Kashmir and not to be seen as the agents of New Delhi.
The National Conference recently said that restoration of article 370, was the only solution to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir and said that they will fight for its restoration by all means but only through democratic and peaceful channels.
