Rohit Kansal refute LG on 50% discount for power and water bills

While in a press conference on a Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj sinha said that there would be a 50% discount on all power and water bills in Jammu and Kashmir giving relief to the poor and lower middle class income group here.
This optimism was short-lived as Commissioner Secretary Power Rohit Kansal tweeted that it was not for all households. Kansal in his tweet said, “The 50% discount on electricity and water charges clarification and the 50% discount on electricity and water charges announced in today’s package is 50% discount on fixed demand charges for industrial and commercial consumers. This is not a discount on electricity bills”.
