Modern machinery to improve income of farmers and lessen labor dependency in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, September 05: In order to help farmers who are experiencing difficulties to carry out agricultural activities, Agriculture Department distributed paddy Threshers Panchayat Raj Institutions in District Ganderbal.
In a function organized by a Sub divisional Agriculture Officer, 56 threshers were handed over to Sarpanch’s, Panch’s and members of Block Development Councils across the District.
This is the first of its kind that the Department has provided machines with the modern method of farming which will save time and lessen the labor dependency of the farmer.
The representative of farmers appreciated the initiative of department and said that such initiatives can help farmers in doubling their income and save the cost of investment.”Agriculture department has provided free financial assistance of Rupees one lac besides modern technology including paddy threshers and Panchayat Raj has made it possible” Said a Local Sarpanch. Meanwhile, Sub Divisional Agricultural Officer, Bashir Ahmed Aalamgeer said that, “Department is committed to help farmers in doubling their income and provide modern technologies for farming”.
