After meeting public delegations in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has asked the administration to change its attitude towards the public and their grievances. He said that he will not tolerate unnecessary delay in the offices and the allegations of corruption.

Soon after his meetings official spokesman of the government in a statement echoed the sentiments expressed by Manoj Sinha and said, “People should not be kept waiting for basic services like category certificate, domicile certificate, etc, which can be issued promptly. Further, redress of public grievances should not be merely a paper work. Rather, the public should feel that their grievances are redressed in a time-bound manner”.

Manoj Sinha in the recent past has tried to restart the development process as the five month long Covid lockdown has delayed the projects in Jammu and Kashmir and common people have also suffered due to the disruption in life.

He has directed the administration to be people friendly and shed the habits of the past and be prompt in mitigating the problems of common people.

He said that he will directly monitor the functioning of administration and will not tolerate any kind of deliberate delay and anti-people attitude of officers on ground.
