Businesses closed, public transport suspended as COVID-19 restrictions imposed in Budgam

Businesses remained closed while public transport services were suspended as the district administration imposed restrictions for five days to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said on Thursday.

In wake of daily spike of Coronavirus cases, the Budgam district administration on Wednesday evening ordered the imposition of section 144 cr Pc and section 34 of the Disaster Management Act for five days in the district.
