Man held with contraband substance in Tangmarg: Police
Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a man with contraband substance (Charas)during at a naka at Ferozpora Tangmarg.
According to KNS Correspondent, SHO Tangmarg Basharat Ali said that the man was held near Ferozpora naka while searching contraband substance weighing 336 grams was found in his possession in Sumo bearing registration Number JK07-0253.
The person is identified as Gulam Mohammad Bhat ? resident of Khemanderpora village of Tangmarg.
The police has registered a case vide FIR No.88 under section 8/20 NDPS Act in Police station Tangmarg and investigation taken up.
General public hailed the police action against the drug peddlers and smugglers. SDPO Tangmarg said that this is the 9th FIR of this nature during this year at Police station Tangmarg. He further appealed people to come forward and co-operate in nailing the drug menace from the society and prevent younger generation from drug addiction. (KNS)
