DM visits Doda town, reviews implementation of public transport guidelines

DODA, JUNE 20: To ensure strict implementation of advisories issued regarding containment of the spread of COVID-19 infection, District Magistrate, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode conducted an extensive tour of the town.
DM visited all the inner routes of the town and various shops and imposed penalty on those persons who were venturing outside without wearing face mask.
Meanwhile, the DM inspected various public transport stands and reviewed implementation of necessary preventive protocols regarding COVID-19 for the public transport including fixation of transparent sheets in the vehicles, only approved number of passengers etc.
The DM appreciated rickshaw and taxi owners for following the protocol of fixation of transparent sheets in between drivers and passengers and for also abiding the seating protocols in letter and spirit.
The DM advised the people not to sit in the vehicles who don’t follow the guidelines of the district administration. He also asked them not to come out of their homes without wearing face mask which can make them pay immediate penalty on the spot.
