Vehicle with illegal MPF seized by forest Deptt.
Anantnag 19 Jun: Forest division Anantnag on Friday claimed to havea seized a vehicle caring medical plants illegally in Panchalthal Kuthar area of Anantnag in south Kashmir.
According to statement issued to KNS said, on a tip of information received from a reliable source DFO Anantnag, Feroz Ahmad Chaket along with his special team laid a naka at Panchalthal Kuthar in the intervening night .
A vehicle carrying 49kgs of Illicit MPF was intercepted by the naka team and was seized on spot .Investigation has been taken up for further course of action.
Rember this has become a huge trade for some vested interests who indulge in trading of medicinal plants illegally .
This is third time in last fifteen days when Anantnag forest Division have seized three vehicles and huge quantity of illegally transported medicinal plants.
Meanwhile ,Chief conservator of forests and Conservator South has lauded Officials of Anantnag forest Division for this action.(KNS)
