After showing good performances in the Big Bash League of Australia and for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League, Haris was picked by chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq for the T20 home series against Bangladesh. However, he failed to click in the contest, picking up just two wickets for 59 runs in two matches. Despite that, he has been retained for the tour of England.
Haris said he was learning the control over reverse swing and yorkers from bowling coach Waqar these days.
He said it was a great moment for him to be selected in the England’s bound team and it would be his first tour with the national team. Haris said his target is to give match-winning performance in every game.
