Police say militants killed in Pulwama

Pulwama: Army, Crpf and J&K Police encircled Astan Mohallah in Kangan area of Pulwama after credible inputs that three militants belonging to Jaish were hiding the area. A senior police officer said that they established contacts with militants during the wee hours of this morning resulting in a gunfight. As the information was accurate, police said that they were able to eliminate all the three trapped militants. However, Director General of Police Dilbag Singh told media that three JeM militants have been killed in the ongoing operation. However, he said, the identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained.
