Two killed several injured in highway landslides

Jammu: Massive rains triggered landslides on Jammu Srinagar highway in Ramban sector resulting in death of 2 person and injuries to several others on Sunday. A senior official told VOV that 4 persons were missing while they have rescued 9 persons so far.
Giving details he said that huge landslide washed away machines trucks along with workers and operators in Seri sector of highway near Ramban. He said that rescue operation was still going on.
Police has been the part of rescue operation to retrieve dead bodies from the mudslide. Latest reports said that the missing persons can presumed dead as the rescue teams so far have not been able to recover them.
Due to these landslides in Ramban sector, the highway has been disrupted for the traffic and hundreds of trucks laden with essential items have been stopped from reaching to Kashmir.
