Coronavirus Live Updates: Delhi Gets 42,000 Rapid Testing Kits As Cases Reach 1,767

The United States passed 7,00,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, according to a tally maintained by Johns Hopkins University.

With the highest number of cases and deaths of any country in the world, the US has now recorded 7,00,282 cases of COVID-19 and 36,773 deaths. 3,856 deaths have also been recorded in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, global COVID-19 deaths have surpassed 1,50,000 with over 22 lakh infections as international institutions are intensifying their collective efforts on battling the pandemic.

11:48AM: Coronavirus cases surged past the 600 mark in Andhra Pradesh, touching 603 on Saturday as 31 more tested positive to the infection in the last 24 hours.

11:46AM: A 65-year-old COVID-19 patient died at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad city in the early hours of Saturday.

11:01AM: Two more coronavirus patients died in Jaipur on Friday night, taking the total number of deaths due to the virus in Jaipur to nine.

10:10AM: Two more people died of coronavirus during treatment at a state-run hospital in Jaipur, pushing the death toll due to the virus in Rajasthan to 19, an official said.
