Restrictions being enforced on streets of Srinagar

Police and other law enforcing agencies on Saturday morning were seen enforcing restrictions in order to avoid any outbreak of COVID-19 in the city. Police and paramilitary forces have erected barricades and have blocked some roads with barbed wire in order to keep people indoors.
Government also ordered its employees to come on alternate weeks for official duty except those who are working for essential services and corona virus control efforts.
The roads in Srinagar city looked deserted with all shops and business establishments closed. Authorities have already put a ban on restaurants, public parks, gardens and on the assembly of people. Even in the hospital of Srinagar doctors have been told to avoid non essential surgeries till March 31. Authorities in Srinagar city have also banned public transport and have blocked entry of transport from other districts to Srinagar city.
