Drug Controller authorities seize fake hand sanitizers and arrest people connected with this trade

Srinagar: Drug controller department of Kashmir has seized lot of material used in a factory to make fake hand sanitizers and much of the material had already reached to the markets in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir.
Assistant Drug Controller Kashmir Muhammad Younis told Voice of Valley that they carried number of raids and sealed the factory at HMT area of Srinagar on a tip off. He said that more raids were conducted across Kashmir and appealed people not to use these fake hand sanitizers.
He said that eighty liters of thinner like liquid were also seized from a rented room belonging to some Sheikh Adil, resident of Khanyar. Similarly he said that more raids were conducted at Nagbal in Ganderbal and lot of fake material used for hand sanitizers was recovered.
In panic due to the spread of corona virus and media reports that some people have tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir most of the have started buying the hand sanitizers as advised by the health department of Kashmir to ward off this infection.
Similarly the masks being available in the markets of Kashmir have also raised serious concerns among the people that they were substandard and not from the genuine companies. Drug Controller Department of Kashmir has appealed people to provide them with information about such fake material available in markets including masks so that they can seal such outlets.
