DDC Kupwara inaugurates ‘Multi Skill Training Centre’
KUPWARA, MARCH 11: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today inaugurated Multi Skill Training Centre at Manzpora, Qalamabad.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), BDC Chairperson, Resource Persons of Skill Development besides, trainees and other concerned were present during the inaugural ceremony.
On the occasion, the DDC lauded efforts of the resource persons of Skill Development and said that the Government of India has initiated a number of schemes meant for skill development of unemployed youth to enable them to earn their livelihood with diginity.
He interacted with resource persons and trainees to discuss various issues related to the Skill Development Training Centre.
The DDC was informed that 4809 candidates across the district have been trained during the last year by various departments which include Handicraft, Handloom, Social Welfare, ITI, Agriculture, Horticulture and Polytechnic.
Besides, 1033 candidates are currently undergoing training in 51 training centres, setup across the district.
