Authorities mulling to close down all educational institutions in JK

Srinagar: After one patient has been tested positive in Government Medical College of Jammu, authorities are trying to take all precautions to stop the spread of infection especially among the children. In this connection, authorities are likely to take a decision to close down the entire schools upto Primary standard in entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Authorities have decided to close all the primary schools in Srinagar District of Kashmir, following the footsteps of Jammu and Samba as one patient has been tested positive in Jammu Medical College. District Development Commissioner of Srinagar Dr Shahid Choudhary on Saturday afternoon did the announcement on twitter. He said, “All Primary Schools in District Srinagar shall remain closed till further orders by administration.” Reports said that District Development Commissioner of Budgam has also decided to close down all the schools upto Primary level.

Official sources said that due to the Coronavirus scare, authorities are seriously mulling to close down all schools upto primary level in entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Reported Muslim kashmir
