Srinagar police launch drive against stunt bikers
Srinagar: Police in Kashmir capital Srinagar have launched a drive against stunt bikers and rash driving after receiving complaints from many parts of Srinagar city.
Sources told Kashmir News Trust that police seized many bikes used for stunts by some youth at Foreshore road, Sanant Nagar, Raj Bagh, Parrayapora Baghat and Hyderpora.
A police official said that police seized many stunt bikes and detained various youth. The youth were counseled and told to abide by traffic laws. The parents of those children were also counseled and they also assured the police that they will inculcate sense of traffic rules in their children.
Locals hailed the drive and expressed hope that such drives will continue in future also as this will save lives. They were assured by Srinagar police that such drives will be a regular feature. (KNT)
