Problems of people
People in Jammu region in the recent past have been pressing for the redressed of their grievances with the administration especially with Advisors to Lt. Governor Garish Chandra Murmu. Common people have lot of problems both in Jammu and Kashmir regions and they have not been able to get prompt response from officials.
Most of the grievances are still piled up in various areas of Jammu region and has forced the people to go in delegations to the Advisors so that administration becomes responsive to their grievances.
Recently deputation of Muslim Federation Jammu (MFJ) today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and projected several demands.
The visiting deputation, led by MFJ’s president Abdul Majeed, apprised the Advisor of various issues. The delegation demanded expansion of Gujjar Nagar graveyard, parking slots and beautification of Gujjar Nagar area.
The deputation informed the Advisor that the people of the area are facing problem in the burial of deceased due to insufficient space at the existing graveyard. Although there is lot of government land available in the area but the concerned authorities are only delaying the allotment of the land for the graveyard as it is the need of the area and cannot be further delayed.
Similarly absence of parking facility in the area lead to frequent traffic jams and the people in the area face immense hardships. Students do not reach schools on time neither the employees reach to their offices within the time line because of the huge traffic James in the area.
