40-year-old man dies in explosion on Sadhna Top
Kupwara, Aug 03 (KNS): 40 year old died this afternoon after an unexploded shell went off in the air within the woods near Sadhna Top in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district causing immense tense among the common citizens who are already terrified due to recent heavy cross border shelling.
Officials said that 40 year old identified as Shabir Ahmad Pathan son of Ab Qayoom, died on spot after an unexploded shell went off the air near Sadhna Top when he was on way to their make shit house high up in the hills.
The official said that the shell apparently seems to have been fired from other side of the border in recent days and may have missed the target.
Confirming the incident, senior superintendent of police Kupwara Shirram Ambarkar said that I have received initial communication about death of a youth there due to some shell, we are verifying the more details about the incident those will be shared later. (KNS)
