Minor boy killed as incessant rainfall triggers flood like situation in Lolab
Kupwara, Jul 25 (KNS): A minor boy died on Thursday after the incessant rainfall triggered flood like situation in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to the reports, the minor boy slipped to death in the Nallah when he was walking on its bank near his home.
The boy has been identified as Burhan Ahmad Malla, 6, son of Aijaz Ahmad Malla of Sever Harden Krumhoora Lolab.
Soon after the incident, the family and locals retrieved him from the nallah and took him to nearby hospital while the doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, the incessant rainfall for two hours in Lolab caused extensive damage to the crops in the area and affected the normal life.
Besides, the heavy rainfall also left many houses damaged partially. (KNS)
