India-Pak armies exchange gunfire along LoC in Rajouri, Poonch

Srinagar : The armies of India and Pakistan on Friday exchanged gunfire along Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu division.

An official said that the Pakistani army started firing in Baba Khori area of Rajouri and the Indian army manning the fence also responded the firing strongly.

However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side.

Meanwhile, the armies of India and Pakistan also exchanged heavy gunfire in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that firing started in Balnoi and Dhabraj of Mankote tehsil of Mendhar area creating panic among the local populace.

Meanwhile, the firing was on when this report was filed.
