Bandipora rape incident : Spontaneous shutdown in Srinagar parts
Srinagar : A spontaneous shutdown is being observed in parts of Srinagar city on Monday against the rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports said that the shops and business establishments are closed in parts of the capital city while the skeptical movement of traffic is visible on the roads.
Reports said that protests were being held in Alamgari Bazar and Saida Kadal areas of the city. The protestors are demanding action against the accused who is in police custody.
Meanwhile heavy deployment of government forces has been made in downtown Srinagar particularly the volatile Nowhatta area.
