LS Polls: Shutdown in Kulgam, authorities suspend internet, train services
Srinagar : A complete shutdown is being observed on Monday in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district in wake of the second phase of polls in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag Lok Sabha seat amid high security.
All business establishments remained closed while traffic was off the roads.
Authorities have also suspended the mobile Internet service in the area.
The train service has also been suspended from Banihal to Baramulla, which passes through Kulgam district as a precautionary measure, reports said.
Earlier Joint Resistance Leadership has appealed people of the area to observe shutdown on the polling day.
