10 cops injured in Baramulla road mishap

Srinagar;At least ten Jammu and Kashmir policemen sustained serious injuries after the vehicle in which they were travelling in met with an accident in north Kashmir’s Baramulla village on early Friday.

Reports said a private vehicle on election duty was on its way to Srinagar from Dangiwacha when the driver of the Vehicle lost Control on his speed due to slippery condition on road due to fresh rains at Trekpora area of Rafiabad on Friday morning.

Reports said that in the mishap at least ten cops received serious injuries and were rushed to District Hospital Baramulla for advance treatment.

Meanwhile, authorities at Hospital confirmed the road mishap and identified the injured men as Constable Bhopal, Constable Ravi Kumar, Constable Anil Kumar , Constable Mohamed Shafi , Constable Vishal Kumar, Constable Asif Yousuf , Constable Syed Tanveer , Constable Mehraj ul Din and Constable Tariq Ahmed.

Authorities at DH Baramulla further said that all the injured cops are said to be stable and are undergoing treatment. (GNS)
