Army man commits suicide in south Kashmir’s Kulgam
Srinagar: An army soldier shot himself dead with his service rifle in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district last night, officials said today.
An official said that Abishekh Roy Kumar who worked as a wireless operator shot himself at 34 RR camp in Behibagh area of Kulgam last night.
Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards the army man and found him in a pool of blood, they said.
An official while confirming the incident said that it was not immediately known why the soldier took the extreme step.
He said a case has been registered and further investigations has been started.
