Hajin shuts on 3rd day against killing of two teenage militants

Srinagar : A complete shutdown is being observed on third consecutive day on Tuesday to mourn the killings of two teenage militants in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is also off the roads.

Forces have been deployed at many places in order to prevent any untoward incidents, witnesses said.

Notably, three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in Mujgund area on the outskirts of Srinagar.

The slain militants were later identified as Mudasir Rashid Parray, Saqib Bilal Shiekh both residents of Hajin and a Pakistani militant identified as Ali Bhai.

Thousands of people on Monday participated in the joint funeral of both the local militants at their ancestral village in Hajin.
