Transporters protest against Kashmir human rights violations
Srinagar : A transporters’ body in Kashmir on Saturday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar to protest the human rights violations.
The protest was organized by Kashmir Transporters Welfare Federation on Joint resistance leadership call.
Raising anti-government slogans and held banners which read “Stop Killing Kashmiris”, “Stop genocide of Kashmiris” and “Kashmiryun ka qatal aam band Karo band Karo”.
They appealed to the world community to raise their voice against the ongoing killings of Kashmiris, arresting of innocent youths and harassment of people.
“The drivers from various sections of society including Auto Drivers, Sumo drivers, Minibus Service drivers, and KMD Drivers participated in the protest,” Chairman of the federation Sheikh Muhammed Yousuf said.
The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik has called for peaceful protests against human rights violations in Kashmir and observe December 3 to 9 as human rights week.
They have urged people to lit candles and torchlights after evening prayers during the week to highlight human rights abuses.
