Top police officials review south Kashmir security situation ahead of Eid
Srinagar: ADGP L&O Munir Ahmad Khan IPS, accompanied by IGP Kashmir SP Pani IPS and IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi Monday visited District Anantnag in South Kashmir to review the security situation in the area, police said.
In a high level meeting, the security arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid ul Azha in District Anantnag were reviewed by the top police officials in South Kashmir, police said.
The top officers were provided with an in-depth briefing about the prevailing security situation in District Anantnag while the officers also held a general security review concerning the law & order situation for the district.
Later in view of the forthcoming festival of Eid, the officials in District Anantnag were directed that the market checking in the areas be intensified and those found indulging in malpractices be appropriately booked so that the common masses do not suffer, police concluded.
