CRPF trooper goes missing from south Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian: A CRPF trooper has gone missing from this south Kashmir district after his leave request was turned down by the seniors, official sources told Kashmir Reader Friday.

Constable Baran Rai, son of Jagdish Rai of CRPF 14 battalion went missing from the district police lines, Shopian on Thursday after his leave was disapproved by his officers, the sources said.

It is believed that the trooper has left for his home in Assam without informing his unit.

Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Shopian, Sandeep Choudary told Kashmir Reader that police was investigating the case.
