Civilian, CRPF personnel injured in Hyderpora grenade attack

Srinagar;A civilian and a CRPF trooper were injured in a grenade blast in Hyderpora area of Srinagar on Saturday.

Reports said that a grenade was lobbed at a CRPF party near a flyover in Hyderpora, leaving a civilian and trooper wounded.

Official sources said that one paramilitary forces personnel identified as Ct Sadashiv Vipati of C Coy 25 Bn has suffered injuries in the attack.

Official sources added that a civilian identified as JHibran Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Wani a resident of Hyderpora has also received injuries in the leg.

Meanwhile, the government forces have cordoned off the area and a manhunt has been launched to nab to militants.
