Various delegations call on Advisor Khurshid Ganai
SRINAGAR: Various delegations today called on Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai and apprised him about various issues faced by them.
The delegation from Chopan Mohalla Zone-ReshiChowkibal Kupwara apprised the Advisor about the nexus of timber smuggling, encroachers in the area. In this regard, the Advisor issued on spot instructions and directed Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and SSP Kupwara to take stern action against the timber smugglers, encroachers and those involved in damaging forests in the area.
Meanwhile, deputations from different walks of life including delegation of Academic arrangements from School of Architecture called on the Advisor and underlined their concerns while they delegation sought an extension of their service contract.
Likewise, residents of Halmatpora of Kupwara demanded the restoration of water supply and face-lifting and macadamization of roads for better connectivity with other areas.
Residents of Pakharpora sought revamping of the local mosque and also discussed several other developmental issues. The Advisor gave them a patient hearing and reiterated that the government is committed to develop rural areas.
Similarly, J&K B.Ed Colleges Associations headed by Prof CL Vaishav, also highlighted their issues and sought that only candidates with full-time BEd degree should be absorbed for government services.
Residents of Kashmiri Pandits from Ganderbal district demanded to expedite tendering process for the renovation of the local temple under religious tourism scheme.
Daily wagers of Agriculture department from district Kulgam and College local fund employees of Kashmir division sought their regularization in their respective departments.
Whie listening to the grievances flagged by the deputations, the Advisor assured that all the genuine demands and grievances will be looked into.
