Search operation in Bandipora forests enters 5th day
Srinagar: A massive search operation in Panar forest of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district entered 5th day on Wednesday.
With special commandos and paratroopers on job, the intermittent exchange of gunfire was still on between the militants and forces.
Though there was a brief lull in gunfire yesterday, massive exchange of fire was reported in the night, officials said. Since then the exchange of gunfire was on, they said.
Sources earlier had said that a group of militants was moving through the forests when they encountered with army patrol on Saturday night. Since then the operation is going on in the area.
