Speedy vehicle kills traffic cop in Panthachowk
Srinagar: A traffic policeman was killed by a speedy vehicle at Panthachowk area of Srinagar on Monday.
Officials said that a speedy vehicle hit the traffic police cop who was performing his duties at Pantha chowk. He was identified as Special Police officer Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Zewan.
However the injured cop was rushed to SMHS hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case and investigation has been taken up.
Staion House Officer (SHO) Panthachowk, confirmed the incident to Kashmir Reader saying the traffic police cop was crushed to death while performing his duties.
