PDD employee electrocuted to death in Budgam village
Srinagar: A man working with Power Development Department (PDD) as lineman was electrocuted to death in Meerpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, sources said on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Abdul Rahman Ganie, son of Abdul Aziz Ganie of Machama Beerwah, received an electric shock while making repairs at a power line in Meerpora village.
Sources said that Bhat had reportedly informed his colleagues about the repair work but despite that power supply was not disconnected to the area.
He was rushed to Sub district hospital Magam where he was declared brought dead, hospital sources said.
