Light intensity earthquake jolts Kashmir
Srinagar : A light intensity earthquake occurred in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday with no report of any casualty or damage to property. An official of the MET department said the earthquake, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, struck at 12.21 p.m.
The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers deep. It struck Kashmir-Xinjiang border region, about 44 km east of Leh.
No loss of lives or damage to properties has been reported so far.
