Clashes near Chattabal encounter site
Clashes have erupted in many localities around Chattabal on Saturday after a gunfight erupted between militants and security forces. Earlier when security forces were laying seige of Gasi Muhala of Chattabal with inputs about the presence of militants, one CRPF officer was injured in the gunfight and was taken to army hospital said the police.
Latest reports from the area said that police through loudspeakers was asking hold up militants to surrender and have stopped firing.
Meanwhile internet services in entire Kashmir were snapped early in the morning as authorities feared protests and violence.
