Shopian gunfight: 10 civilians injured in fresh clashes

Srinagar: At least 10 civilians sustained injuries in fresh clashes near encounter site in a Shopian village on Wednesday.
A gunfight between militants and government forces is underway in Turkewangam village of Shopian.
Medical Officer Zainapora Hospital told Kashmir Reader that they received 10 injured with bullets and pellets.
“We referred all the injured for specialized treatment,” he said.
Earlier, four civilian youth were hit by bullets after militants and government forces exchanged heavy firing in Turkewangam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Locals informed Kashmir Reader over phone that Innayat Ahmad, a local was among four youth hit by bullet and was immediately shifted to Pulwama hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar in critical condition.(Kashmir Reader)
