Reshuffle to divert attention of people, PDP-BJP alliance failed, allege NC
srinagar:-alleging that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government has totally failed on all front, the main opposition National Conference (NC) said Monday’s reshuffle was nothing but to divert the attention of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
About the Kavinder Singh’s induction in the ministry, the NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar alleged that he was awarded for his alliance with RSS even after becoming speaker of the Legislative Assembly (LA).
Reshuffle is taking place in every government and it was nothing new, he said after 6 new BJP and 2 from PDP took oath of office at Jammu this afternoon.
However, Mr Sagar alleged that the performance of the coalition government during three years was “ worst”. Now the reshuffle was to divert the attention of people, he added.
The government has totally failed on all fronts and not a single promise made in the Agenda of Alliance by the two parties was fulfilled so far, he alleged.
He alleged that bloodshed is going on, security forces are conducting raids, youths being arrested or joining militancy and encounters are going in the valley. Reshuffle will not make any difference as number of unemployed youths are increasing and there is zero delivery on the ground by the government as far other matters are concerned, he said adding that there was also corruption charges against the government.
The Agenda of Alliance had said that negotiations will be initiated between New Delhi and Hurriyat Conference and other separatists and there will be talks between India and Pakistan to restore peace in the state. Where is that initiative, he questioned.
He alleged that Mr Gupta was awarded for his alliance with RSS. Mr Sagar alleged that Mr Gupta declared that he was proud to say that he was associated with RSS when he was conducting business of the House. Mr Gupta also participated in the parade of RSS in uniform, Mr Sagar alleged and said his (Gupta) induction in the ministry was on the intervention of RSS.
The NC working president Omar Abdullah had time and again said that the party will extend all help to government for restoration of peace in the state. But government has failed.
However, he said reshuffle will not have any impact on the ground situation in the Kashmir valley, where situation is very grim. Today itself reports of encounter were received from south Kashmir, educated youths are joining militancy and a BJP worker was shot at injured by gunmen in Srinagar last night.
We expect coalition between “North pole and South pole” as described by the former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed after forming government with BJP in the state, will take some bold initiatives and peace will be restored in the state, he said adding but nothing has changed.
He said tourism witnessed worst hit due to daily killings of security forces, militants and civilians in the valley.
He further alleged chief minister has surrendered all her powers and it is not clear who is now ruling the state—Home ministry, Army or any other force.
Mr Sagar said Kathua rape and murder case of an eight-year-old girl was communalise and politicize by the coalition partner of chief minister. Despite his association with BJP also heading the government at centre only 12 per cent of Rs 80,068 crore Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan (PMRP) has been released by the centre.
