Kashmiri student abducted from Punjab College, Still untraceable
Jalandhar: Kashmiri students studying at one of the colleges in Indian Punjab State staged a massive protest after armed men allegedly abducted a student from the college hostel on Friday pre-dawn hours.
Over a hundred Kashmiri students are admitted in St. Soldier Management and Technical Institution located at Jalandhar Punjab. They expressed anguish over the abduction of their class mate.
The student almost broke down on phone and requested to bring the matter into the notice of Jammu Kashmir Police.
The abducted students hails from Noonmai, Yaripora Kulgam.
“The Principal is doing nothing, acting like as nothing has happened. Our class fellow who is doing BCA has been abducted and the Principal is telling us it is not an issue at all,” he said.
He added that they even registered a complaint at nearest police station but they also did nothing to trace the abducted student.
When contacted the Principal refused to talk on the issue. “The Principal can talk to you only on Monday,” said one of the teachers of the Institute.
