Militants attack forces party in Anantnag, civilian injured
A civilian was injured after militants travelling in a car opened fire on a road-opening party (ROP) of the police and the CRPF in Anantnag district of south Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
A spokesman, in a statement said that the militants fired upon the ROP of the police and 116 Bn CRPF at Lazibal Chowk Anantnag in which a civilian identified as Shakeeb Shabir of Shopian was injured.
“The injured has been shifted to hospital for medical assistance,” he said, adding that a high alert has been sounded.
