Kathua: Many injured after students clash with forces in Pulwama, Tral, Pampore, Uri

Srinagar:-Clashes broke out between the police and students in Tral town of Pulwama district on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to many students, reports claimed.

Reports said that many students have sustained injuries during the clashes, adding that many girls have also fainted due to suffocation.

The shopkeepers in the area pulled down their shutters after news about the injuring of students spread in the area.

In Pulwama district, several protesters were injured during the clashes, eyewitnesses said that clashes erupted between students of Degree College boys, girls with government forces resulting in injuries to many students.

Several persons were injured in clashes all the injured persons shifted to District hospital Pulwama, sources said.

Meanwhile, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Pampore and Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore Wednesday peacefully staged a strong protest in saffron town Pampore, demanding justice for Kathua rape and murder victim.

An eight-year-old Kathua girl was raped and murdered in Rasana village of Jammu’s Kathua District in the month of January.

The students were seen holding placards in their hands, depicting different messages calling for justice in the case of rape and murder victim.

In Uri town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district students of the Government Degree College, Higher Secondary and High Scholl Uri jointly staged a massive protest in solidarity with the eight-year-old Kathua victim.

A huge gathering of students from three different institutions took out a protest march demanding justice and capital punishment for the victim

Earlier, at least seven students were injured in Islamabad district after clashes between force and students erupted at Bus stand in Islamabad.
