Army porter killed in cross-border firing in Uri : Police
Srinagar : An army porter was killed in cross-border firing in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday, police said.
Police said that today at about 10.40 am, one person namely Khursheed Ahmad of Nawaranda Uri, who was working as Porter with army’s 4 madras unit , got a bullet injury in neck and some grenade splinters in both legs near Chaukas post and died on spot.
