Timber smugglers arrested in Handwara
SRINAGAR, MAR 22 : Handwara police has arrested three timber smugglers and seized a vehicle laden with illegal timber.
On a specific information, a police party of Police Post Zachaldara, Handwara led by DO Zachaldara seized a Sumo bearing registration numbers JK09-0971, laden with illegal timber at Zachaldara. Three persons identified as Ghulam Rasool son of Sheir Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ramzan Lone son of Abdul Gani Lone and Mohammad Ashraf Rathi son of Mir Mohd, all residents of Yamlar Zachaldara, Handwara.
A case FIR number 77/2018 under section 379 RPC, 06 Forest Act was registered in Police Station Handwara and investigation was taken up.
