Shri Anand Jain joins as IGP Headquarter PHQ
JAMMU, : Inspector General of Police Shri Anand Jain-IPS today assumed the office of IGP Headquarter PHQ. He took charge over from Shri Surinder Kumar Gupta-IPS who has been posted as Director SSG.
Shri Anand Jain, an IPS officer of 1999 Batch has held a number of field postings in both regions of the state.
He has remained posted as SSP Baramulla, SSP Rajouri, SSP Reasi and SSP Jammu prior to proceeding on Central Deputation in the year 2013. He has worked as Private Secretary to Chairman UIDAI, Shri Nandan Nilekani. He has also worked as Director in Left Wing Extremism Division of Ministry of Home affairs. He has also served as Deputy Inspector General in National Investigation Agency.
