Gunfight in Lethpora, militant killed
Srinagar: A militant was killed after a gunfight between militants and government forces raged in Lethpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Monday.
Police sources vov that forces cordoned off Hatiwara, village near Lethpora after input about the presence of militants.
Soon after search operation was started the hiding militants opened fire on forces triggering gunfight.
One militant was killed in initial firing, they said adding the operation was underway.
The slain militant has been identified as a non local, namely Mufti Waqas who was affiliated with JeM.
