NIA takes custody of 5 accused in Naveed Jatt escape case

NIA on Thursday took custody of five accused arrested by JK police in escape of LeT militant Mohammed Naveed Jatt case, sources said.
The accused were arrested for allegedly facilitating the escape of militant Naveed Jatt alias Abu Hanzalla from custody during a visit to SMHS Hospital last week.
The accused included Shakeel Bhat, Tika Khan, Rahil Kachroo, Mohammad Shafi and Jan Mohammad.
Earlier, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar granted a transit remand of two days to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for the accused arrested over escape of Naveed Jatt, sources said.
A special team of NIA had reached Srinagar to take custody of the accused after the escape case of Jatt was transferred to the agency to conduct the probe.
