Govt seeking ‘Recruitment to Class IV, Class III posts at Block Level’

JAMMU: Private Members’ Resolution (PMR) moved by the MLA Mohammad Shafi Uri seeking recruitment to class IVs and Class III posts in District Cadre at the Block Level to give adequate representation to all the areas and sections was returned by the Legislative Assembly today.
Earlier, legislators Raja Manzoor Ahmad, Javaid Hassan Beigh, Nawang Rigzin Jora, R S Pathania, Yawar Ahmad Mir, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin and Mohammad Khalil Band took part in the discussion and supported the Resolution.
Mian Altaf Ahmad also took part in the discussion and said that it is not feasible to recruit all areas and sections for recruitment of Class IV and Class III posts at the block level and later opposed the Resolution.
After thorough discussions, theHouse rejected the Resolution.
Meanwhile, Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar assured the House that constitutional view will be taken in this regard.
Another Private Members’ Resolution was moved by the MLA MLA Javad Hassan Beigh seeking the benefit of reservation to women of backward areas till seven years of their marriage and reduction in eligibility period for reservation benefit from 15 years to 7 years for the girls married in backward areas.
However the Deputy Speaker, Nazir Ahmad Khan adjourned the House for the Day and said that the discussion on the Resolution will continue tomorrow.
